Hooray for Deer MeatA lot of people say they don't like hunting, that it seems unfair because of the fact that humans use weapons. I don't know what these people are thinking, but hunting is hardly a wholesale slaughter.
I have, to date, never killed a deer (*sigh*) and have had to get portions from people who have either killed them on my family's land (let me assure you, it is NOT much; just a small camp) or bits from family members who said "Hey! Here you go!"
I recently got a package of this stuff and my brother and I set to sealing it properly. He then prepared a roast and told me to cook it later that night... The result has been three nights of some pretty spectacular meals from that roast alone.
I wish I knew how to make stroganov. My brother says it's easy, but I have trouble doing things right the first time... Well, time to do some research and see if I can this time...

Well... It seems my brother had a reason for saying "it's easy." Essentially, he took the roast broth and mixed it with Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup. He added a little flour for thickening.
No wonder it's so fucking easy. It's not exactly "real."
Still tasty, though.

Just wanted to let you know that I still scan over the boards fairly regularly and enjoy seeing how things are going.

Terminus used to talk a lot, too, but I think he had to skip out while his funds accumulated and his life got less hectic.
Acid/DeviousMe is pretty much the de facto answer man/Boss of the section and Diov may or may not have left.
Krazy's been mostly gone since Ike hit and Prodiguy just got back (and he wasted NO time making Boarderline bark again).
We've got a few new people, Masquerade (whom we're still wondering if that's really Diov; Yosef seemed to think so), TeChameleon (though he was around right before you left) and a few others, though those are the more active ones. Masquerade had a nifty idea, Cooperative stories, but it didn't pan out too well (which is odd, considering that was exactly how our RPs tended to work). TeCh has actually spat out a few decent stories of his own, too.
Me, I've been trying to get a decent Blakmoore arc going (Acid asked me for help because of a storyline they did where they basically Godmoded a Vanguard base, and he wanted somebody to introduce something difficult and would be a lot more heavy-handed than he could be; and I had to play the GM card when somebody introduced a God Gun), i keep plodding along with my stories and I've been working for the City Scoop as the Fan Fiction Reviewer and have introduced another story to help sill space for the forum publication.
So... There you have it.
